When did you last hear from Ishmael????
IshmaelBy pure luck SAvibes was blessed with the opportunity of meeting up with, ONE OF South Africa’s most talented vocalist, our very own Mr. Roba leteka in London. Yes, the one and only Ishmael of South Africa, recognised through his numerous hits..robaleteka, waar was jy and avulekile amasango. But that was back in 19 s’bani bani…

Simple and casually dressed, yet still maintaining his signature "umrapper" dress-code,  as Ishmael approaches, seemed glad to meet us, was incredibly respectful which one wouldn’t expect from a high ranking artist like him.

DJ Bongz answers our questions.
DJ Bongz interview

Humble and good with his fans. Mmmmm. Lucky fan

Finally the man we’ve all waited for has made it to the British shores. Dressed in all white with a smile on his face he strolls to the foyer to meet me for the interview. I find him so easy going with no trace of celebrity ego on the man. In no time we are rolling as if we’ve known each other for a long time. He sets it straight how he was refused entry into the UK the first time as well as his up coming album

Noma:   Welcome to the UK and I’m happy to meet you.

Bongz: Thank you I’m really happy and excited to be here.

Noma:  There's been so many rumors circulating about you not being able to come into the UK. Could you please set the record straight as to really what happened?
Bongz:  Right I experienced problems with my passport, the Home Office in South Africa delayed processing it for me - so when I came the first time I had used an emergency document assuming they would allow it here as the case in other countries I had been to. But to my dismay the British authorities turned me back. So that is what really happened, but I'm glad everything has been sorted and all is in the past now. What’s important is that I’m here and ready for my fans.
